Dea Rosa’s “WANDERLISTA” Spring/Summer 2012 embraces the Aegean
Buonasera a tutti voi! Sono stata recentemente contatta dal team di Dea Rosa e vorrei parlarvi della nuova collezione Spring/Summer 2012.
Si tratta di un'esclusiva linea di borse in pellami esotici ispirata dai viaggi della sua Creative Director, Andria Mitsakos. Nelle sue creazioni riesce a catturare l'essenza stessa dell'Egeo e, naturalmente, le isole Cicladi sono il naturale sfondo per questa collezione.
Quando le si chiede di spiegare il termine da lei coniato che intitola la collezione Spring/Summer 2012, Andria Mitsakos risponde che "definisce l'arte di viaggiare attraverso la cultura e lo stile".
Goodevening to everyone! Recently, the Dea Rosa's team contacted me and I'd like to show you the new collection Spring/Summer 2012.
It's an exclusive line of exotic upper leather bags inspired by her Creative Director's journeys, Andria Mitsakos. In her creations she is able to capture the essence itself of the Aegean and, obviously, the Cyclades are the natural set for this collection.
In this line, Mitsakos proposes which are, according to her, the key pieces for a journey: a bag appropriate to be always brought with ourselves, an oversize clutch, a slim bag for the sea perfect to be put in our luggage, a simple clutch that closes with a zip and a little evening bag.
When we ask her to explain us the term she coined for the title of the collection Spring/Summer 2012, Andria Mitsakos answers that "it defines the art of travelling through the culture and the style".
She used to travel, even when she was a child, and Mitsakos developed her willing to discover new places. Getting off from a plane and perceiving the air full of exotic scent, or walking through a market which runs over of textiles, her willing of mixing far away cultures with the charm of the design has more and more increased.
Mitsakos creates this line as a tribute for he grandmother Rose, a simple but talented shoes designer. In 2010 - when Rose should have been 100 years old - Mitsakos launches her exotic upper leather bags' line that relates to Rose's sensibility.
Personalmente, trovo tutte le sue creazioni molto eleganti e versatili, ma la mia preferita rimane la borsa dell'ultima foto :)

Personally, I think all her creations are as elegant as versatile, but my favourite one is the bag in the last picture :)
